Limits city authority to enact regulations in fields covered by Agriculture, Business & Commerce, Finance, Insurance, Labor, Natural Resources, Occupations, and Property Codes. Effective Sept 1, 2023.

Limits local authority to regulate the food service industry, including permits, fees, sound regulation, and food delivery. Effective Sept 1, 2025.

Creates state regulatory scheme for mobile food vendors and preempts local authority from prohibiting or regulating them in a conflicting manner. Effective July 1, 2026.

Prevents municipalities from adopting or enforcing measures that prohibit the operation of a no-impact home-based business. Effective June 12, 2025.

Prohibits local governments from requiring a cottage food production operation to obtain any type of license or permit or pay any fee. Effective Sept 1, 2025.

Allows actions against political subdivisions to block enforcement of governmental requirements affecting agricultural operations. Effective May 19, 2025.

Prevents local enforcement of health and safety standards for group day-care or family homes that exceed state standards. Effective May 15, 2025.

Allows an officer in training to engage in code enforcement without supervision if the employer does not also employ a registered code enforcement officer. Effective June 20, 2025.

Expands categories of vehicles that cannot be passed on a highway to include animal control and local authority vehicles issuing parking citations. Effective Sept 1, 2025.

Relating to the regulation of products derived from hemp. Vetoed by Governor Abbott on 6/22/25. Executive Order GA 56 issued.

Relating to the medical use of low-THC cannabis and the administration of the Texas Compassionate-Use Program. Effective Sept 1, 2025.

Creates a new class A misdemeanor to market or sell any vape device containing psychoactive cannabinoids. Effective Sept 1, 2025.
